Kotak Bank Statement: Email, Post, 811 and Loan SOA

6 min readOctober 26, 2026

Quick Answer: At Kotak Mahindra Bank, you request a statement rather than just open one. In Mobile Banking, go to Banking โ†’ Account Statement, pick the duration and choose Email or Post; in Net Banking it's Banking โ†’ Service Request โ†’ New Service Request โ†’ Account Statement. Kotak says email statements arrive the same working day and posted ones within 7 working days. Kotak811 users view a consolidated statement in the app.

Kotak Mahindra Bank statements are requested through Mobile Banking or Net Banking, delivered by email the same working day or by post within seven working days. The Kotak811 app shows a monthly consolidated statement. Credit card statements download in Net Banking, and home loan Statements of Account are free online but cost Rs. 250 plus GST through the contact centre.

How do you get a Kotak bank statement?

Kotak's help centre answer on statements not received (read on 26 October 2026) gives both routes:

Mobile Banking

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Tap Account Statement.
  3. Select the duration and the mode: Email or Post.

Net Banking

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Choose Service Request โ†’ New Service Request.
  3. Select Account Statement (listed under Savings and Current Account).
  4. Select the duration and the mode.

Kotak's page also links a form to request a statement without logging in to Mobile or Net Banking, which helps if you've forgotten your password.

Delivery times, per Kotak:

ModeWhen it arrives
EmailWithin the same working day as the request
PostWithin 7 working days to your communication address

If a statement doesn't turn up, Kotak's first advice is to check that the email ID and communication address registered with the bank are current, then place a new request.

Kotak811: the consolidated statement

Kotak811 is Kotak's fully digital account, and its statement works a little differently. The help centre's 811 statement answer (read on 26 October 2026) lists four steps:

  1. Log in to the Kotak811 Mobile Banking App using your CRN and MPIN.
  2. Go to Statement.
  3. Tap Consolidated Statement.
  4. Select the month and view it.

Kotak's answer doesn't define what "consolidated" covers, but it is clear that you pick a month rather than a custom date range. If you need a specific range, for example 15 March to 14 September for a visa file, use the request route above instead.

Can you get both email and paper statements?

Yes, but not by default. Kotak's help centre says that to register for both email and physical statements, call the 24x7 helpline on 1800 4100 or ask at your branch. It adds that physical statements may carry charges depending on your account type, and points to Kotak's schedule of charges. If you only need paper occasionally, a one-off postal request through Mobile or Net Banking is simpler than switching your whole account.

To stop physical statements, Kotak has a separate help article on where to place that request.

Passbook: switch it on or off

Kotak treats the passbook as a service you can activate or deactivate for a savings account. Its answer on cancelling a passbook (read on 26 October 2026) lists three ways:

  • the online passbook updation form on kotak.com,
  • the 24x7 helpline on 1800 4100,
  • your nearest branch.

The same routes work in reverse if you want a passbook back, for instance because a pension office or scheme asks for passbook entries. People searching "Kotak passbook download" usually need a statement instead: the passbook is a physical booklet, while the downloadable record is the account statement.

How do you download a Kotak credit card statement?

Kotak's help centre answer View/download my Credit Card statement (read on 26 October 2026) draws a clear line between channels:

  • Net Banking: log in, go to Credit Card โ†’ Statement. This is where you can download.
  • Mobile Banking: Credit Card โ†’ CC Statements. Kotak labels this view only.
  • Without login: Kotak links a page to download the statement without logging in.

So if the app shows your bill but there's no download button, that's by design; switch to Net Banking or the no-login page. Kotak's answer on registering for credit card e-statements points to the same Credit Card โ†’ Statement route.

Kotak loan statements: free online, charged by phone

This is where the cost difference matters. Kotak's home loan Statement of Account page (read on 26 October 2026) says:

  • You can view or download your Statement of Account free of charge in Net Banking or Mobile Banking. Log in, then click the Installment Loans tab in Net Banking or the Loans tab in Mobile Banking.
  • If you request it through the Customer Contact Centre instead, a charge of Rs. 250 + GST applies, payable online to the loan account using details Kotak lists on the page.
  • The turnaround for a contact-centre request is 1 working day after the charge is received.

Kotak's loans help section also has pages on outstanding details, rate of interest and, for business loans, an interest and principal statement and a foreclosure statement. For income tax on a home loan, the interest and principal breakdown is what your CA usually wants.

Which Kotak document should you ask for?

  • Visa, tenancy or loan application: an account statement for the exact months requested, by email for speed or by post if a hard copy is required.
  • Income tax on a home loan: the interest and principal breakdown for the loan, not the bank account statement.
  • Closing a loan early: the foreclosure statement, which Kotak's loan help section covers separately.
  • Checking a card bill: the credit card statement in Net Banking, which is also the one to keep for expense claims.

Locked out? Getting your CRN and password

Most Kotak routes need your CRN, the Customer Relationship Number. Kotak's loan pages explain how to recover access:

  • Don't know your CRN? Send an SMS saying CRN from your registered mobile to 9971056767 or 5676788, and Kotak sends it back.
  • No Net Banking password? Generate one online by entering your CRN.
  • No MPIN? In the app, enter your CRN, tap Forgot MPIN, and reset it with your Net Banking, debit card or credit card details.

Is a Kotak statement PDF password protected?

The Kotak help centre pages we read on 26 October 2026 don't state whether emailed statements are password protected or what the password would be, so we won't give a format. If a Kotak PDF asks for a password, check the email it came with, or ask the helpline on 1800 4100.

Converting a Kotak statement to Excel

Kotak statements arrive as PDFs. To get them into a spreadsheet, Excel's Get Data from PDF works on unlocked, text-based files. QuickBankConvert converts statement PDFs into rows with date, description, category, signed amount and balance, and it accepts password-protected files by asking for the password on upload. It reads Indian bank statements as well as others, though we haven't specifically tested Kotak's layout, so compare the closing balance. CSV and Excel come with a free account; pricing covers larger batches. See PDF to CSV for the output.
