A bank statement converter for bookkeepers and accountants
6 min read
Quick answer
If clients send you bank statements as PDFs, the work repeats every month, and so does the bill for converting them. QuickBankConvert charges a fixed $29, $59 or $99 a month, not a price per page: each plan includes a set number of statements a month (50, 200 or 600), and the only per-statement constraint is a page cap. Every paid plan exports QBO for QuickBooks and a Xero CSV. Pro and Business add batch upload and client labels.

What a month costs
The price depends on the plan, and the plan depends on how many statements you convert in a month. What you pay for a month of client work, at the monthly list price:
| Statements in the month | Plan that fits | Monthly price | Cost per statement |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 | Plus | $29 | $1.45 |
| 50 | Plus | $29 | $0.58 |
| 100 | Pro | $59 | $0.59 |
| 200 | Pro | $59 | $0.29 |
| 600 | Business | $99 | $0.17 |
Pages are not counted towards a monthly total. A 6-page statement and a 45-page statement each count as one conversion.
Paying yearly costs $199 for Plus, $399 for Pro and $699 for Business. If statement work is seasonal for you, monthly billing can be cancelled and restarted; if it is every month, annual is cheaper.

- The statement allowance is per month. It is the plan's real limit. If you need more than your plan includes, move up a plan.
- The page cap is per statement. A statement over the cap is turned away before it is converted and does not use a conversion. A year of statements merged into one PDF will usually exceed it: upload the months separately.
- Inputs are PDF and OFX files. Scanned statements convert, less accurately than PDFs downloaded from online banking. Password-protected PDFs prompt for the password.
You can try the workflow on the free account first: 3 statements a month, up to 10 pages each, CSV and Excel downloads. With no account at all, you can preview one statement every 24 hours, up to 5 pages.
A monthly workflow that fits client work
- Collect the PDFs. Ask clients for the statement PDF their bank generates, not a phone photo. Our bank guides show where the download is for several US banks; send the link.
- Upload. On Plus, one statement at a time. On Pro or Business, drop the whole set on the batch uploader: it converts 3 at a time, and each statement becomes its own conversion with its own downloads.
- Label by client. On Pro and Business, each conversion can carry a client label of up to 60 characters. Your conversion history groups by client, then by month, and can be filtered to one client.
- Check before exporting. Compare the transaction count and closing balance with the PDF. This is the step that protects you; do not skip it because the tool is fast.
- Export and import. QBO or CSV for QuickBooks (steps), the Xero CSV for Xero (steps), or Excel for a working paper.
- Re-download later. Past conversions stay in your history, so a file can be downloaded again without converting the statement a second time.
Most statements finish in under a minute.
Plus, Pro or Business?
Choose Plus if you convert up to 50 statements a month, no statement is longer than 50 pages, and one-at-a-time uploads are fine. Plus already exports QBO and the Xero CSV.
Choose Pro if any of these apply: you convert more than 50 statements a month; you want to drop them in one batch; you want to label conversions by client; clients send statements longer than 50 pages. Pro includes 200 statements a month.
Choose Business if you convert more than 200 statements a month. It includes 600 and everything in Pro. You can move up a plan later from the billing page.
What it does not do
So you can rule it out quickly if you need these:
- No direct push into QuickBooks or Xero. You download a file and import it yourself.
- No bank feeds and no bank logins. It only reads files you upload.
- No team seats or roles. An account is one sign-in.
- No client portal for clients to upload their own statements, and no API.
- No coding to your chart of accounts. Each transaction gets a general category, which is exported as the memo or category column. It is not a substitute for your own coding, and the Xero file is not precoded.
- One transaction list per file. A combined statement covering several accounts is not split by account.
Client data
You are uploading other people's financial records, so the facts matter more than the reassurance:
- Files are uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and parsed on our servers. Nothing is processed in your browser.
- A copy of each uploaded statement is stored. You can ask us to delete files through the contact page.
- We never ask for bank logins, yours or a client's.
- Who processes the data is listed in the Privacy Policy. Read it against your engagement letters before uploading client statements.
Billing and refunds
Payment is by card through Square, monthly or annually. You can cancel from the billing page at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. If it does not suit your practice, ask within 7 days of the first subscription payment for a full refund, as the refund policy describes. Current prices are always on the pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you charge per page or per statement?
Not per page. Each plan is a fixed monthly price that includes a set number of statements: Plus is $29 a month for 50, Pro is $59 a month for 200 and Business is $99 a month for 600. Pages are not metered. The only per-statement limit is length: 50 pages on Plus and 100 on Pro and Business.
What happens if I reach my monthly allowance?
You move up a plan from the billing page. Plus includes 50 statements a month, Pro includes 200 and Business includes 600.
Can I keep each client's conversions separate?
Yes, on Pro and Business. Each conversion can be given a client label of up to 60 characters. Your history groups conversions by client and month and can be filtered to a single client. It is a label for organising your own history, not a client portal.
Can several people in my firm share one subscription?
An account is a single sign-in; there are no separate team seats or roles. If more than one person needs their own login, each needs their own account.
Which accounting formats do you export?
Plus, Pro and Business all export CSV, Excel, TSV, JSON, QBO, QIF, Xero. The Xero export is a CSV. QBO is the QuickBooks Web Connect format; before relying on it for QuickBooks Desktop, read the note about bank IDs in the QuickBooks guide.
Is there a free trial?
There is no time-limited trial. The free account is permanent: 3 statements a month, up to 10 pages each, with CSV and Excel downloads. Paid plans can be refunded within 7 days of the first subscription payment.
