A DocuClipper alternative with flat monthly pricing

6 min read

Quick answer

DocuClipper and QuickBankConvert both turn bank statement PDFs into data, and they charge differently. DocuClipper sells a monthly allowance of pages: its pricing page is headed "Unlimited Users. Pay Only for Pages Processed." QuickBankConvert sells a monthly allowance of statements: $29, $59 or $99 a month for 50, 200 or 600 statements, with no page allowance and a page cap per statement. DocuClipper does considerably more than statements. Which is cheaper depends on how many statements you convert and how long they are; which fits depends on what else you need.

Everything said about DocuClipper below comes from its pricing page as we read it on 4 October 2026. Prices change: check that page before deciding.

How DocuClipper counts a page, in its own words: "One page of any PDF you successfully process counts as one page. A 12-page bank statement uses 12 pages; a single-page invoice uses 1." It adds that only successfully extracted pages are counted.

What the difference means in practice

Using DocuClipper's own example of a 12-page statement:

  • Five such statements a month is 60 pages, the Starter allowance.
  • Twenty-five such statements a month is 300 pages, the largest Starter allowance.
  • Fifty-three such statements a month is about 640 pages, the Business allowance.

On QuickBankConvert the plan depends on the number of statements, because pages are not metered: a 12-page statement is one conversion, well inside the 50-page cap. Five statements fit Plus at $29 a month. Twenty-five fit Plus at $29 a month. Fifty-three need Pro at $59 a month, because Plus includes 50 statements a month. The trade is that we cap the length of a single statement and DocuClipper's pricing page states no such cap.

If you process a handful of short statements a month and nothing else, the two entry plans cost about the same and features should decide. If you process many statements every month, the numbers to watch are the page allowance there and the statement allowance here.

Where DocuClipper offers more

Its pricing page lists things QuickBankConvert does not have:

  • More document types. Starter covers "bank statements, invoices, receipts & CSVs to QuickBooks, Xero or Excel". We convert bank and card statements only.
  • Sync to accounting software. The pricing FAQ refers to exporting or syncing to QuickBooks and Xero. We produce files that you import yourself.
  • Unlimited users on every plan, and team management on Business. Our accounts are a single sign-in.
  • API access, listed on Starter. We have no API.
  • Financial analysis on Business: "cash flow, flow of funds, fraud detection". We do none of that.
  • Enterprise controls on its top plan: single sign-on, audit logs, IP allowlisting and an SLA.
  • A stated certification. The page says DocuClipper is SOC 2 Type II certified. We hold no such certification.

If you need invoices and receipts, a team with several users, an API or lender-style analysis, DocuClipper is built for that and we are not.

Where QuickBankConvert differs

  • No page meter. Plans count statements, not pages, so a long statement costs the same as a short one.
  • A free account that does not expire. 3 statements a month with CSV and Excel downloads, rather than a trial with an end date.
  • A preview before you sign up. One statement every 24 hours, up to 5 pages, with no account.
  • A narrower job. Statements in; CSV, Excel, TSV, JSON, QBO, QIF or Xero CSV out. If that is all you need, there is less to set up.

And the limits, so the comparison is fair to both sides: statements over 50 pages (Plus) or 100 pages (Pro and Business) are not accepted, each plan has a monthly statement allowance, files are capped at 4.4 MB, batch upload and client labels are on Pro and Business only, and your statement is uploaded to and stored on our servers until you ask us to delete it.

How to decide

  1. Count your pages for a normal month, not your statements. That number decides which DocuClipper allowance you would need.
  2. List what else you need: invoices, receipts, several users, an API, analysis. If any of those matter, compare on features first.
  3. Test both on your own statements. DocuClipper's trial processes up to 120 pages with no card. Our free account converts 3 statements a month, and paid plans are refundable within 7 days of the first subscription payment under the refund policy.
  4. Check the output where it will be used. Import one converted statement into your accounting software from each tool before committing.

We have not benchmarked the two products against each other, and this page makes no claim about which one reads statements more accurately.
