Convert a Bluevine bank statement to Excel or CSV
6 min read
Quick answer
Bluevine Business Checking statements are in the web dashboard under Documents & Reports, then Banking Statements. Download the month's statement PDF, upload it to QuickBankConvert, check the transactions in the preview, and download them as CSV or Excel with a free account, or as QBO for QuickBooks on a paid plan. No Bluevine login is shared: you upload only the statement file.

How to download a Bluevine bank statement
From Bluevine's help article How do I locate my Business Checking statements (read on 26 October 2026):
In the Bluevine dashboard
- Sign in to your Bluevine Dashboard.
- Open the Documents & Reports tab in the left-hand menu.
- Click Banking Statements.
- Choose the account from the dropdown menu and select the year.
- Click the link for the month you want to view, and save the statement PDF.
The same article says statements are available for your primary account and for any sub-accounts you have with Bluevine, which is why the account dropdown comes before the year. It describes the web dashboard only; if you use the Bluevine mobile app, look for Documents or Statements there, or sign in on a computer, which is also the easier route for converting because you can drag the PDF straight onto the converter.
Bluevine is a financial technology company, and its Business Checking banking services are provided by Coastal Community Bank. The statement you download from the dashboard is the document to keep for your records, whichever route you take to get the transactions into your books.
Bluevine statements, sub-accounts and the CSV export
Two things are distinctive about getting data out of Bluevine.
Each sub-account has its own statement. Because the Banking Statements page asks you to pick an account first, a business that keeps money in sub-accounts (for taxes, payroll or a reserve, say) downloads one statement per account per month. Convert each one separately and keep the files labelled by account, so a transfer between your own accounts shows up as money out of one and money into the other rather than as income or an expense.
Bluevine has its own CSV export, with limits. Bluevine's help article How do I export my account transactions to a CSV file (read on 26 October 2026) says you can sign in, go to Checking, click Export, choose a date range of two days or more, and download a CSV with the date, description, debit/credit and balance of each transaction. The article sets limits on that export:
- The date range can start no earlier than 18 months before today and must end yesterday at the latest, because the current day's transactions may not have settled.
- Exporting to CSV is not available in the Bluevine mobile app.
So the built-in export suits recent activity pulled from a computer. For older periods, or when an accountant or tax preparer has handed you the monthly statement PDFs rather than dashboard access, converting the statement itself is the practical route. A converted statement also keeps the statement's period and opening and closing balances alongside the rows, which makes reconciling a month quicker.
How to convert a Bluevine statement
- Upload the PDF to the converter.
- Check the preview against the statement, account by account if you downloaded several.
- Download CSV or Excel, or QBO on a paid plan. If the rows are going into accounting software, see the QuickBooks guide or Xero guide, and check a QBO file before import with the QBO file checker.
Why people convert Bluevine statements
- Bookkeeping catch-up. A business that fell behind on categorising transactions can load months of statement rows into a spreadsheet or accounting tool at once instead of keying them in from PDFs. Bookkeepers handling several clients can read more on the bookkeepers page.
- QuickBooks and Xero imports. When a bank feed has gaps, dropped connections or a missing history, converting the statements fills the period with rows that match the bank's own record.
- Taxes and year-end. An accountant preparing a business return usually wants the full year of transactions in one sheet, sorted and totalled by category.
- Loan and grant applications. A spreadsheet lets you total deposits by month. Keep the original PDFs as well: a lender who asks for bank statements wants the bank's own document, not a converted file.
What comes out
One row per transaction with date, description, category, amount and balance (the balance only when the statement prints a running balance). Amounts are signed: money out is negative. The account number, statement period and opening and closing balances are read from the statement and shown above the preview so you can check them.
| Download | Plan |
|---|---|
| On-screen preview only | No account: one statement every 24 hours, up to 10 pages |
| CSV, Excel | Free account: 3 statements a month, up to 10 pages each |
| QBO, QIF, Xero CSV, TSV, JSON | Plus, $29 a month: 50 statements a month, up to 50 pages each |
| The Plus formats, with batch upload and client labels | Pro, $59 a month: 200 statements a month, up to 100 pages each |
| The same as Pro | Business, $99 a month: 600 statements a month, up to 100 pages each |
A statement longer than your plan's page limit is turned away before it is converted, so it does not use up a conversion. Files can be up to 4.4 MB. Current plans are on the pricing page.
What to check, and what can go wrong
- Compare the totals. Before downloading, check the first and last rows and the closing balance against the PDF. We do not publish accuracy figures for Bluevine or any other bank; the preview is there so you can verify the result yourself.
- Use the PDF the bank generates. A scan or a phone photo of a paper statement is an image, and it is read less accurately than a PDF downloaded from online banking.
- Password-protected PDFs are supported: you are asked for the password when you upload.
- Your file is uploaded. It travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, is parsed on our servers, and a copy is stored. Ask us to delete it through the contact page. We never ask for your Bluevine login. See the Privacy Policy.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I download a Bluevine bank statement PDF?
Sign in to the Bluevine dashboard, open the Documents & Reports tab in the left-hand menu, click Banking Statements, choose the account from the dropdown and select the year, then click the month you want. These steps are from Bluevine's help article, read on 26 October 2026.
Can I download statements for Bluevine sub-accounts?
Yes. Bluevine's help article says statements are available for your primary account and any sub-accounts. Pick the sub-account in the account dropdown on the Banking Statements page. Each account has its own statement, so convert them one at a time and keep the files labelled by account.
Can Bluevine export transactions to CSV or Excel itself?
Bluevine offers a CSV export from the Checking page on the web: click Export and choose a date range of two days or more. Its help article says the range can go back 18 months and end no later than yesterday, and that the export is not available in the mobile app. For older months, or when you only have the statement PDFs, convert the statements instead.
Can I get a Bluevine statement into QuickBooks?
Yes. Convert the statement PDF and download a QBO file on a paid plan, then import it into QuickBooks as a bank file. You can also download CSV or Excel with a free account and import the rows as a CSV.
Do I need to give you my Bluevine login?
No. You download the statement yourself and upload only the PDF. Nothing connects to your Bluevine account.
What does it cost?
Previewing needs no account (one statement every 24 hours, up to 10 pages). CSV and Excel downloads are free with a free account: 3 statements a month, up to 10 pages each. Plus ($29 a month), Pro ($59 a month) and Business ($99 a month) allow 50, 200 and 600 statements a month, raise the page limit to 50 pages on Plus and 100 on Pro and Business, and add accounting formats.
