Download Axis Bank Statement: Online, SMS and Branch
Quick Answer: To download an Axis Bank statement, log in to internet banking or the Axis open app, go to the statements section, choose the account and period, and download the PDF. Axis says the last 3 years are available online; older statements come from your branch. For an instant emailed statement, SMS
ESTMT <last 5 digits of account number> <from date> <to date>to 56161600, with dates as dd-mm-yyyy.
Axis Bank lets you download statements for the past three years in internet banking and its open mobile app, and email you an on-demand e-statement for any date range by SMS to 56161600. Registered customers get a free, password-protected monthly e-statement that consolidates every account under their Customer ID. Anything older than three years means a visit to your branch.

How far back can you download Axis Bank statements?
This is the limit to know first. Axis Bank's e-Statements page (read on 26 October 2026) states that bank statements for the past 3 years can be accessed through internet and mobile banking, and that for older statements you should visit your nearest branch.
So the right route depends on the period:
| Period you need | Where to get it |
|---|---|
| Within the last 3 years, specific dates | On-demand e-statement by SMS, or internet banking / open app |
| Within the last 3 years, every month going forward | Register for monthly e-statements |
| More than 3 years ago | Your Axis Bank branch |
| Last few transactions | Mini statement at an ATM |
Downloading in internet banking or the open app
Axis Bank's guide Easy steps to check your bank statement online (read on 26 October 2026) describes the online route in general terms:
- Log in to internet banking, or to open by Axis Bank using your internet banking credentials.
- Go to the Statements or E-Statements section; in the app, Axis says it's usually under Accounts or Services.
- Choose the account and the statement period.
- Download the statement as a PDF.
Axis's guide doesn't pin down exact menu labels, and the app changes, so follow the screen if the wording differs. If the period you pick runs further back than three years, you'll hit the online limit above.
What is the Axis Bank ESTMT SMS?
The on-demand e-statement is the fastest way to get a statement for exact dates, and it doesn't need a login. Per Axis Bank's e-Statements page, send this from your registered mobile number to 56161600:
ESTMT <last 5 digits of account number> <From Date> <To Date>
Dates go in dd-mm-yyyy format. Axis's own example is ESTMT 43521 01-10-2018 20-10-2018. The statement is sent to your registered email ID.
Things that commonly go wrong:
- Wrong date format. Use hyphens and a four-digit year: 01-04-2026, not 1/4/26.
- Wrong email. The statement goes to the email registered with Axis. If you've changed email addresses, update it first (see below).
- Wrong phone. Send from the mobile number registered on the account, or the request won't be matched.
Banks in India use similar keywords for different things: SBI's ESTMT includes a four-digit PDF code you choose, PNB's registers you for monthly email statements. At Axis, ESTMT asks for a specific date range.
Registering for monthly e-statements
Axis Bank lists four ways to register a personal account for monthly e-statements:
- Internet banking: log in, click My Profile, go to Contact Details Update and update your email ID; Axis says e-statement registration then happens automatically.
- SMS: send
GREENto 56161600. - Phone banking: call 1860-419-5555 or 1860-500-5555.
- Branch: submit a request at your nearest Axis Bank branch.
Axis's terms for the service are worth reading, because three of them change what you receive:
- Monthly instead of quarterly. Axis says registered customers receive monthly e-statements instead of quarterly printed statements.
- One consolidated statement. If you hold more than one savings, HUF, fixed deposit, recurring deposit or individual current account, singly or jointly, and you're the first holder, you receive a consolidated statement of all of them under your Customer ID.
- Paper stops. Axis discontinues physical statements and notices once you sign up. To switch back to paper, the business banking terms say to request it at the branch.
Axis describes the e-statements as password protected but doesn't publish the password format on that page, so check the email they arrive with or ask phone banking. For NRI and agri-rural customers, Axis says monthly statements arrive by email within a week of the following month; NRI customers register with a form at the branch or through internet banking.
Business accounts: daily, weekly or monthly
Current account customers can schedule e-statements more often. Axis Bank's page says business banking statements can be scheduled monthly, weekly or daily, free of charge, and registration is through internet banking or a Customer Request Form. For a business that reconciles every day, a daily e-statement is a cleaner input than downloading a fresh statement each morning.
Passbook, passbook front page and replacements
Savings account holders get a passbook; Axis Bank's article on applying for a new passbook (read on 26 October 2026) notes that current account holders may not get one because of their transaction volume, and receive monthly statements instead.
If your passbook is lost, damaged, full, or your name or address has changed, you apply to your branch for a new one. Axis's article suggests including your name, account number, branch, the reason, and your contact details, along with any request form and the damaged passbook if you still have it. It says charges, if any, vary, and to check them with the bank.
The "passbook front page" people are often asked for is the first page of that booklet, which carries your account details. If you bank only digitally, ask your branch what it can provide instead; Axis's public pages don't describe a downloadable front page.
Credit card, loan and FASTag statements
These sit outside the savings account statement:
- Credit cards produce their own monthly bill for each billing cycle, listing purchases, payments, credits, charges and interest, per Axis's credit card statement article.
- Home, car and personal loans have a loan account statement; Axis's home loan article says your loan account number acts as your reference, and the branch can provide or email one if you can't download it. Ask for the interest certificate when you need tax figures.
- FASTag: Axis's FASTag statement article (read on 26 October 2026) says you can choose a date range and download the statement as a PDF or Excel file. That Excel option is unusual and saves converting anything.
Converting an Axis Bank statement
A password-protected PDF has to be opened first. QuickBankConvert asks for the password on upload, then turns the statement into rows with date, description, category, signed amount and balance. It reads Indian bank statements as it does others, though we haven't specifically tested Axis Bank's consolidated layout, which puts several accounts in one file, so check each account's closing balance. Free accounts download CSV and Excel; see pricing for higher limits and PDF to CSV for the output. Our guide to password-protected statement PDFs covers unlocking.
