Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund Statement: Kotak MF and CAMS

6 min readOctober 29, 2026

Quick Answer: Log in on kotakmf.com and use the Account Statement shortcut, which sits behind the investor login. If you have no Kotak MF login, go to CAMS, the registrar that services Kotak MF: its Single Folio Account Statement form emails a statement for one folio, and its Capital Gain / Loss Statement form covers a financial year for your ITR. For every fund house at once, request the CAMS + KFintech CAS.

A Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund statement comes from one of two places. Kotak MF's own website shows it after you log in. CAMS, the registrar that services Kotak MF, emails it to anyone whose email is registered in the folio, with no Kotak login needed. CAMS also issues the capital gains statement for tax filing and, jointly with KFintech, the consolidated statement for all your funds.

Who actually keeps your Kotak MF records?

A mutual fund house in India hands its investor records to a Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA). There are two big ones, CAMS and KFintech, and the one your fund house uses decides which website can send you a statement. Kotak MF uses CAMS. On CAMS's myCAMS page (read on 28 October 2026), Kotak MF is listed among the 27 CAMS-serviced mutual funds that the myCAMS app covers.

That has three practical consequences:

  • CAMS's per-fund forms, such as the single folio statement, list Kotak MF in their fund dropdown.
  • The CAMS capital gains statement includes your Kotak folios, along with any other CAMS-serviced funds you hold, such as HDFC MF or SBI MF.
  • On KFintech's website, use the joint CAMS + KFintech consolidated statement, which spans both registrars and so includes Kotak MF.

Kotak Mahindra Bank and Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund are separate companies. Your savings account statement comes from the bank (see our Kotak Bank statement guide), while Kotak MF units held outside a demat account are recorded in a folio that CAMS services, whichever app you bought them through.

How do you download it from the Kotak MF website?

The Kotak Mutual Fund homepage (read on 28 October 2026) has a quick link labelled Account Statement, described as "Get your detailed portfolio of your investments". It points to a statements page inside the investor area, so you need to Login/Register first. The same homepage promotes Kotak MF's app for tracking your portfolio.

The public homepage doesn't spell out the steps inside the login. If you get stuck there, the homepage lists customer support on 1800 309 1490 (toll-free) and 044 4022 9101. For most people, though, the CAMS route below is faster than registering a new login.

How do you get a Kotak MF statement from CAMS without logging in?

CAMS's Single Folio Account Statement form (read on 28 October 2026) works for one fund house at a time:

  1. Under Mutual Fund, choose Kotak MF.
  2. Type your folio number. It's printed on any earlier statement or allotment email.
  3. Enter the email address registered in that folio. PAN is optional.
  4. Pick the period: a specific date range, or Since inception for the full history.
  5. Choose a format: PDF, Text, JSON or Excel.
  6. Set a password and type it again, then submit.

CAMS encrypts the attachment with that password and sends it only to the registered email. The password must be 8 to 15 characters, begin with a letter, and include an uppercase letter, a digit and one of @ # $ * _. A pattern such as Kotak2026#mf works. Write it down, because CAMS doesn't send it back.

If your registered email is an old one, CAMS points you to its CAMServ chatbot or GoGreen service to update it.

Capital gains statement for your ITR

The CAMS Capital Gain / Loss Statement (read on 28 October 2026) is the document to keep beside you when you fill the capital gains part of your income tax return. CAMS says it covers current and past financial years across CAMS-serviced funds and shows:

  • redemptions and other withdrawals,
  • a summary of IDCW payouts,
  • realised gains and losses worked out first-in-first-out,
  • a split into long term and short term, for equity and non-equity funds.

The form defaults to the previous financial year (on the day we read it, 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026). Unlike the folio form, PAN is mandatory here, and you again choose PDF, Text, JSON or Excel and set a password. If you hold more than one CAMS-serviced fund, they come in one file.

Pick Excel if you or your CA will add up the figures in a sheet. CAMS's own note says it accepts no liability for the statement's contents and suggests you check with a tax professional, so treat it as working papers and reconcile it against your contract notes or redemption emails.

For a plain transaction export, CAMS's Transaction Details Statement lists every transaction across CAMS-serviced folios, in Text, JSON or Excel. CAMS describes it as suited to investors who transact often and want to reconcile with accounting software. Leave the folio number blank and it covers every folio linked to your email.

CAS: Kotak MF alongside your other funds

If you also hold funds serviced by KFintech, the single Kotak statement isn't the whole story. CAMS and KFintech run a joint Consolidated Account Statement form that covers funds serviced by both registrars. You choose:

  • Summary (balances and valuation only) or Detailed (with a transaction list),
  • an "as on" date,
  • whether to include zero-balance folios, exclude them, or show transacted folios plus folios with a balance.

KFintech's Consolidated Account Statement mailback page, on its MFS investor portal, offers the same joint statement from its side, as a PDF protected with a password you set, after a captcha. Either site works for Kotak MF, since the statement spans both registrars.

MFCentral, built by KFintech and CAMS, lets you sign in and view a portfolio across all mutual funds, and handle service requests such as contact detail changes across every folio at once.

When the depository CAS is the better choice

If you hold shares, ETFs or mutual fund units in a demat account, the registrar CAS won't show the demat side. CAMS's forms warn that they may not reflect complete demat holdings and tell you to check with your depository participant.

The depository statement fills that gap. NSDL's CAS site (read on 28 October 2026) describes its CAS as one statement covering demat accounts held with NSDL and CDSL plus mutual fund units held in statement-of-account form, so your Kotak folios appear next to your shares. NSDL emails a password-protected copy if you subscribe to e-CAS. CDSL's CAS login asks for your PAN, BO ID and date of birth.

Getting the statement into Excel

Choose Excel on the CAMS form wherever it's offered; that beats converting a PDF. The detailed CAS from KFintech arrives as a PDF only, and the statement from the Kotak MF login may too.

For those PDFs, Excel's Get Data from PDF can pull out the tables, or you can use a converter. QuickBankConvert is built for bank statements: it extracts dated rows with an amount and balance, and it accepts password-protected PDFs, asking for the password on upload. A fund statement adds units, NAV and scheme columns that don't fit that layout neatly, and we haven't tested Kotak MF's format, so check the output against the PDF. PDF to Excel explains the general method, and the free account's limits are on pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the registrar for Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund?

CAMS (Computer Age Management Services). CAMS lists Kotak MF among the mutual funds it services in the myCAMS app, so CAMS's statement forms include your Kotak folios.

Can I get a Kotak MF statement without a Kotak MF login?

Yes. CAMS's Single Folio Account Statement form takes your folio number and registered email, and emails a password-protected statement in PDF, Text, JSON or Excel.

What is the password for the CAMS statement of my Kotak folio?

The one you typed into the CAMS form when you requested it. It is 8 to 15 characters, starts with a letter and includes an uppercase letter, a digit and one of @ # $ * _.

Which Kotak MF statement do I need for my income tax return?

The CAMS Capital Gain / Loss Statement for the financial year. It splits realised gains into long term and short term for equity and non-equity funds, and PAN is required to request it.

Why doesn't my Kotak MF statement show my demat holdings?

Registrar statements may not reflect units held in demat. Use the depository CAS from NSDL or CDSL, which combines demat holdings with mutual fund units held in statement-of-account form.
