Andhra Bank Online Bank Statement After the Union Merger
Quick Answer: Andhra Bank no longer runs its own net banking. It was amalgamated into Union Bank of India from 1 April 2020, so a former Andhra Bank account's online statement now comes from Union Bank of India's internet banking (Accounts, then Operative accounts, then the account's Action menu, then Account statement), its Union ease app, or the branch that now holds the account.
If you opened an account with Andhra Bank, your statement now comes from Union Bank of India. The Andhra Bank amalgamation took effect on 1 April 2020, and the accounts moved to Union Bank's systems. Log in to Union Bank's internet banking, open the account and choose Account statement; one request covers up to 365 days. For older periods, ask the branch.
This guide uses Union Bank of India's own pages, read on 27 October 2026 at its current address, unionbankofindia.bank.in. Bank menus change, so where a step matters we link the page it came from.

What happened to Andhra Bank?
Union Bank of India's page on the amalgamation of Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank gives the legal basis. The Central Government, after consulting the Reserve Bank of India, notified the "Amalgamation of Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank into Union Bank of India Scheme, 2020" in a gazette notification dated 4 March 2020, and the scheme came into force on 1 April 2020.
In practice that means three things for an old Andhra Bank customer:
- Your money and account history belong to Union Bank of India. There is no separate Andhra Bank to ask.
- Your branch is now a Union Bank branch. The building may be the same; the bank name on the door and on your documents changed.
- Online access runs through Union Bank's channels. Old Andhra Bank net banking addresses, apps and bookmarks are not where you get statements today.
If a visa officer, landlord or loan officer asks for an "Andhra Bank statement", what you hand over is a Union Bank of India statement for the same account. It is worth adding one line to your cover note explaining the amalgamation if the person reviewing it may not know.
Which details changed for migrated accounts?
People usually trip over two items: the account number and the IFSC. Union Bank's amalgamation page does not list how individual Andhra Bank accounts or branch codes were mapped, so we will not guess at a format here. Find your current details from any of these:
- A recent passbook entry or cheque book issued after the migration.
- The account details shown after you log in to Union Bank's internet banking or app.
- Union Bank's branch locator, linked as "Branches & ATMs" on its website.
- The branch itself, or Union Bank's all-India toll-free numbers, which its site listed as 1800 22 22 44, 1800 22 22 43, 1800 208 44 and 1800 425 1515.
Whatever you find, use the current IFSC on any form that asks for it (salary mandates, tax refunds, transfers). An Andhra-era code printed on an old cheque leaf is not the one to copy.
Downloading the statement through Union Bank internet banking
Union Bank's internet banking page answers the statement question directly in its FAQ. After you log in, the path is:
Accounts > Operative accounts > (select the account) > Action > Account statement
The same answer sets the limit: a maximum of 365 days of statement can be generated through net banking. If you need two years for a visa file or a loan, generate the statement in two or more ranges and keep the files in date order.
The bank's broader internet banking page lists "Viewing/Printing of account statement" among the services, alongside transaction details and fund transfers. If you have never registered for internet banking, start from that page; registration and login help are covered there rather than here.
A few habits help when you generate the file:
- Pick the exact date range the requester asked for. Statements cut off mid-month look like you are hiding something even when you are not.
- Save each download straight away with a clear name, such as
union-bank-ex-andhra-2025-04-to-2026-03.pdf. - If the PDF opens with a password prompt, use the password format shown with the download or in the email the file arrived with. Our guide to password-protected bank statement PDFs explains how to open such files and keep them protected when you share them.
Is there a Union Bank app for statements?
Yes, and it has a new name. Union Bank's app page says the mobile app previously known as VYOM is now Union ease, launched on the bank's 107th Foundation Day, 11 November 2025. If a friend tells you to "download Vyom", Union ease is the app they mean.
What the Union ease page confirms:
| Topic | What Union Bank says |
|---|---|
| Who can use it | Customers with savings, current, overdraft or cash credit accounts that are KYC compliant; companies, trusts and partnership firms are not eligible |
| What you need to register | A smartphone, active mobile data, and an active debit card or a branch-generated token |
| Devices | One device at a time |
| Balance | Open the Accounts section and tap the account, or set a primary account and check its balance before login using your Login PIN |
| Service requests | Under Service Request, tap "View All" for a Balance Certificate, Loan Interest Certificate and Deposit Interest Certificate |
The page does not spell out a statement download path inside Union ease, so we will not invent one. If you cannot find it in the app, net banking has the documented route above. The Balance Certificate in the app's service requests is useful on its own: some visa and education loan checklists ask for one in addition to the statement.
Balance and mini statement by SMS
Union Bank's SMS banking page says SMS banking lets you "know your balances and mini statements" by sending an SMS, along with alerts for debits and credits above a limit you choose. Registration, according to the same page, is by filling in a form and handing it in at your branch; the form is available on the website, at branches and at ATM outlets. All accounts under the same customer ID can be linked.
On charges, the page listed SMS charges of Rs.0.25 plus GST per domestic SMS and Rs.1.20 plus GST per international SMS, and notes that your mobile operator's normal tariff applies when you send a balance or mini statement request. A mini statement is a quick look at the last few entries. It is not a substitute for a dated statement when someone needs proof of funds.
What about Andhra Bank history from before 2020?
This is where most people get stuck, and Union Bank's public pages do not answer it. They do not say whether pre-migration transactions appear in net banking, and the 365-day cap on each net banking statement would make a long history slow to rebuild even if they do.
The reliable route is the branch that now holds your account:
- Write a short request with your name, the account number (old and new if you have both), and the exact period you need.
- Ask for the statement on bank letterhead, signed and stamped, if it is going to an embassy, court or lender.
- Ask whether a charge applies before the branch prints it. Union Bank publishes its charges under "Rates and Charges" on its website; we have not quoted a figure here because the schedule changes.
If the account was closed before or around the merger, say so in the request. The branch may need more time to retrieve archived records. Our general guide to getting old bank statements covers what to do when a bank says the records are no longer available.
Getting the statement into Excel
Union Bank statement PDFs are fine to read and awkward to analyse. If you need totals by month, a list of salary credits, or a reconciliation against your own records, you want the rows in a spreadsheet.
You can copy and paste from the PDF and fix the columns by hand, which works for a page or two. For a year's worth, a converter saves the retyping: QuickBankConvert's PDF to Excel takes the statement file you downloaded (it asks for the PDF password if there is one) and returns the transactions as rows with date, narration, amount and balance. It does not log in to Union Bank; you upload the file. Check the opening and closing balance against the PDF once the rows are in.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still log in to Andhra Bank net banking?
No. Andhra Bank was amalgamated into Union Bank of India with effect from 1 April 2020, so former Andhra Bank accounts are served through Union Bank of India's internet banking, app and branches.
How many days of statement can I download from Union Bank net banking?
Union Bank's internet banking FAQ says a maximum of 365 days of statement can be generated through net banking. Generate several ranges if you need a longer period.
What is the Union ease app?
It is Union Bank of India's mobile banking app, previously called VYOM. The bank renamed it Union ease when it launched the new version on 11 November 2025.
How do I get Andhra Bank statements from before 2020?
Union Bank's public pages do not say whether pre-merger history shows online, so request it in writing from the branch that now holds the account, giving the account number and exact period.
Is a mini statement enough for a visa application?
Usually not. A mini statement shows only the last few transactions; embassies and lenders normally want a full dated statement for a set period, often signed and stamped by the branch.
