CIMB Current Account Statement: Download and Older Copies
Quick Answer: In Malaysia, log in to CIMB Clicks and either open My Accounts, choose View/Download Statement and pick the month, or go to Services > eStatement > View eStatement, choose Deposit and the month. CIMB says eStatements stay available for up to 18 months. For a paper reprint, CIMB directs you to its Consumer Contact Centre on +603 6204 7788 and says charges apply; that is also the number to ask about older months.
A CIMB current account statement is the monthly record of every deposit, cheque, transfer and charge on your CIMB Current Account or Current Account-i, with opening and closing balances. CIMB issues it as an eStatement, a PDF you can download from CIMB Clicks or receive by email, and paper copies are optional. This guide covers CIMB Bank in Malaysia.

Where do you find the statement in CIMB Clicks?
CIMB's eStatement FAQ describes two routes once you are logged in to CIMB Clicks. Both end at the same PDF.
Route 1: from your account list
- Open My Accounts.
- Select View/Download Statement.
- Choose the statement month.
- Download the PDF.
Route 2: from the eStatement menu
- Go to Services, then eStatement, then View eStatement.
- Choose the account type. Current accounts sit under Deposit, alongside savings and fixed deposits; loans, investments and credit cards have their own types.
- Choose the month and download.
Route 2 is handy when you hold several CIMB products and want to collect a year of statements in one sitting, because the account-type switch is on the same screen.
CIMB lists Current Account, Current Account-i, Foreign Currency Current Account and Foreign Currency Current Account-i among the accounts that can use eStatement, so the steps are the same for conventional and Islamic current accounts and for foreign-currency ones.
Can you get it from the CIMB OCTO app?
The OCTO app handles everyday banking, but CIMB's eStatement FAQ gives its download steps for CIMB Clicks. If you cannot find a statement option in the app, use CIMB Clicks in a browser, which is where CIMB documents both routes.
When does each month's statement appear?
CIMB gives two timings, depending on how your statement is produced:
| Statement type | When CIMB says it is available |
|---|---|
| Consolidated statement (covering the month to month-end) | By the 7th of the following month |
| Single statement | Within 7 days of its statement date |
If you are collecting statements for a loan application in early March, the February statement may not be there until about 7 March. Plan around that, or ask the lender whether a transaction history printout will do until it arrives.
How far back can you download?
CIMB says eStatements remain available "for viewing and retrieval up to a maximum period of 18 months." After that the month disappears from the list. Three habits stop that limit from causing trouble:
- Download as you go. CIMB confirms you can save an eStatement to a storage device of your choice. Saving each month's PDF to a named folder (for example
CIMB-current-2026-09.pdf) costs a minute and gives you a permanent copy. - Pull a year before an application. Banks, landlords and embassies often ask for 3, 6 or 12 months. Fetch them together while every month is still within reach.
- Act before closing an account. Once an account is closed, access to its statements may go with it. Our guide to getting statements from a closed bank account covers what to ask for and when.
How do you get older or paper statements?
If you have switched off paper and need a printed copy, CIMB's instruction is to contact the CIMB Consumer Contact Centre on +603 6204 7788 and request a reprint. CIMB states plainly that there will be charges, without giving the amount on that page, so ask for the fee when you call. CIMB's FAQ does not say how to get months that have dropped out of the 18-month window; the same contact centre is the sensible place to ask.
If you need a copy certified or stamped by the bank, for instance for a visa or a financing application that will not accept a downloaded PDF, say so on the call or at a branch. Ask what form of verification they can provide and how long it takes, since the requirement comes from whoever is asking for the statement.
What about emailed statements and their password?
CIMB's current account page describes the eStatement as a PDF of your monthly statement that you can download from CIMB Clicks or have delivered to your email, a service called Email Statement Delivery.
- Paper stops automatically once you subscribe to Email Statement Delivery.
- To resume paper, log in to CIMB Clicks and go to Services > eStatement > Stop/Resume Paper Statement, choose Resume and accept the terms.
- To change the email address or the password used for emailed statements, go to Services > eStatement > Email Statement Delivery.
The password matters later. A password-protected PDF opens normally once you type it, but many tools that read PDFs will stop at the lock. Keep the password somewhere you can find it in two years, not only in your head, or you may have statements you cannot open. If you have lost it, set a new one in Email Statement Delivery; whether older emailed PDFs open with the new password is something to confirm with CIMB.
What does a CIMB current account statement show?
Layouts change over time, but a current account statement generally carries:
- account holder name, account number and the statement period;
- opening balance, closing balance and the running balance after each line;
- each transaction's date, description (transfer references, DuitNow or cheque details) and amount;
- cheque numbers for cleared cheques, which matter when you reconcile a cheque register;
- bank charges and, for interest-bearing or profit-bearing accounts, credits.
For a general walk-through of the sections, see our explainer on what a current account statement is. If you just need this month's figures rather than a closed statement, our guide to getting a current bank statement explains the difference between a statement and a transaction history.
How do you get the transactions into a spreadsheet?
Once you have the PDFs, there are three ways to work with the lines in Excel or Google Sheets:
- Check for a CSV or transaction export. Some online banking screens let you export recent transaction history. Where CIMB Clicks offers it for the period you need, use it; it is the cleanest source.
- Use Excel's PDF import. Excel's Get Data from PDF can find tables in some statements. It struggles when lines wrap or a page break splits a transaction.
- Use a statement converter. QuickBankConvert reads bank statement PDFs and returns one row per transaction with date, description, amount and balance, ready to download as CSV or Excel. It handles password-protected PDFs by asking for the password when you upload, and it also reads the account number, period, and opening and closing balances so you can check the totals. The file is uploaded and processed on our servers; the privacy policy explains what is stored. See the PDF to Excel page for the output layout.
After converting, compare the opening balance plus the sum of all lines with the closing balance. If they agree, nothing was dropped.
CIMB in other countries
CIMB operates separate banks in Singapore, Indonesia (CIMB Niaga), Thailand and elsewhere, each with its own online banking and statement rules. The steps above are for CIMB Bank Malaysia's CIMB Clicks. If your current account is with CIMB Bank Singapore, use its own website and online banking; the 18-month window and contact number above may not apply.

Is there a fee for a CIMB paper statement?
CIMB's FAQ says there will be charges for an ad-hoc paper statement requested through the Consumer Contact Centre on +603 6204 7788, but it does not state the amount on that page, so ask when you call.
Why can't I see last month's CIMB statement yet?
