Varo Bank Statement: Find, Save and Use It

6 min readOctober 26, 2026

Quick Answer: Open the Varo app (or sign in on the Varo website), tap My Varo, then Statements and documents, and pick the month. Varo's statements are electronic only: its account agreement says you will not automatically receive paper statements. If you need paper, print the PDF or call Varo on 1-877-377-8276 to ask for a mailed copy.

Varo is an app-first bank with no branches, so your Varo bank statement lives in one place: the My Varo tab, under Statements and documents. Each month's statement is a PDF you can save and share. Paper is available only on request, and Varo's help center does not document a spreadsheet export, so plan on working from the PDF.

Where does Varo put your statement?

Varo's App Navigation Basics article, read on 26 October 2026, describes four tabs that appear both in the app and on the web:

TabWhat Varo says you find there
HomeBalances, upcoming deposits, account activity
Move MoneyTransfers and deposit information
CashbackOffers and cashback rewards
My VaroStatements, profile, settings, contact information

Inside My Varo, the screen is called Statements and documents. Varo's tax forms article sends you to the same place: My Varo, then Statements and documents, then the Tax Statements section.

So the route to a monthly bank statement is:

  1. Open the Varo app, or sign in at varomoney.com.
  2. Tap or click My Varo.
  3. Choose Statements and documents.
  4. Select the account and the statement month, then save or share the file.

Varo's help pages do not describe the save button or file menu in detail, so the last step depends on your phone. On iPhone and Android the usual route is the share sheet, which lets you save to Files or Drive or email the PDF to yourself. If you will be working with the file on a computer, signing in on the website saves a step.

Which Varo products produce a statement?

Varo is more than a checking account now, and each product has its own paperwork.

  • Varo Bank Account (checking). The account agreement says electronic statements are available to view in the App and that Varo will send a monthly statement for each product "when such statement is required by law". For a checking account with activity, that means a monthly statement.
  • Varo Savings. Varo's general terms say you get a statement for each product where the law requires one; savings activity also appears in the app's account history.
  • Varo Believe (the secured credit card). Believe runs on billing cycles. The Pay Your Believe Card article says Safe Pay pays your statement balance one day after the statement is issued, about 21 days before the due date. That statement is a card statement, separate from your bank account one.
  • Tax documents. A 1099-INT appears if you earned $10 or more in taxable interest or qualifying bonuses, and a 1099-MISC for $600 or more in taxable promotional incentives. Varo says both are in the app by the end of January.

If a landlord or lender asks for "your Varo bank statement", they almost always mean the checking statement, not the Believe card statement.

Can you get a paper Varo statement?

Not by default. Varo's electronic communications agreement says communications, including "statements for all accounts held by you at Varo Bank", will be provided electronically and "paper communications will not be sent". The checking agreement repeats it: "You will not automatically receive paper statements."

There are two ways around that:

  1. Print it yourself. The agreement explicitly allows you to print or download any communication.
  2. Ask Varo to mail one. The same agreement says you can request a mailed paper copy by calling 1-877-377-8276 during normal business hours. It also says Varo reserves the right to decide, so treat it as a request rather than a guarantee, and allow time for post.

The agreements we read do not mention a charge for a mailed copy either way, so ask about cost and timing when you call.

What is the 60-day transaction history right?

Buried in the checking agreement is a clause many customers never notice: you "have a right to obtain a sixty (60) day history of the Bank Account transactions by contacting the Bank through the App." That is useful when you need a recent activity record that does not line up with statement months, for example a 60-day window ending today.

The same agreement sets your error-reporting clock. Statements are "considered to be correct" unless you report an error within 60 days of the statement becoming available, and the general terms say Varo must hear from you no later than 60 days after it sent the first statement showing the problem. If you spot a charge you do not recognise, raise it from the app's dispute flow promptly rather than waiting for the next statement.

How long do Varo statements stay available?

Varo's help center did not state a retention period on 26 October 2026, and its Account Closures article does not say whether statements stay viewable after an account is closed. Because there is no branch to visit and no published archive length, the safe habit is to save each PDF to your own storage the month it appears, and to download everything before you close an account. For tax purposes, the IRS page on how long to keep records sets three years as the general rule, with longer periods in some situations.

Using a Varo statement for a rental or loan application

Applications usually want two or three recent consecutive months with your name and address on them. Varo statements are issued by Varo Bank, N.A., so they are ordinary bank statements in that sense.

  • Send the PDF, not a screenshot. A screenshot of the Home tab's activity list is not a statement, and many underwriters reject it.
  • Check the address first. If you moved, update your details in My Varo before the next statement generates; an old address on the statement can stall a rental application.
  • Explain large deposits. Transfers in from Cash App, Venmo or another bank show up as deposits; a lender may ask where they came from.

How do you get Varo transactions into a spreadsheet?

Varo's help center, which we read in full on 26 October 2026, does not describe a CSV, Excel, QBO or QFX download of account activity. That leaves three approaches:

  • Type or paste from the app if you only need a handful of lines.
  • Connect a budgeting or accounting tool that lists Varo as a linkable institution (Varo's help center has a separate article on linking external accounts). Linking gives ongoing activity, not a clean monthly document.
  • Convert the statement PDF. QuickBankConvert turns a downloaded statement into rows of date, description, category and signed amount, plus a running balance when the statement prints one, and shows the statement period and balances so you can compare them against the PDF. Nothing logs in to Varo: you upload the file, it is parsed on our servers, a copy is stored, and you can request deletion through our contact page. CSV and Excel downloads come with a free account; pricing lists the paid formats.

Once the rows are in a sheet, the PDF to Excel guide covers checking the totals and the bank statement categorization guide covers sorting spending.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are statements in the Varo app?

Tap the My Varo tab, then Statements and documents. Varo's help center lists My Varo as the place for statements, and its tax forms article uses the same Statements and documents screen.

Can Varo mail me a paper statement?

Varo does not send paper automatically, but its electronic communications agreement says you can request a mailed paper copy by calling 1-877-377-8276 during business hours, or print the electronic one yourself.

Is a Varo statement accepted as proof of income or residence?

That is the landlord's or lender's call. A Varo statement is a regular bank statement from Varo Bank, N.A., a nationally chartered bank, and it carries your name, address and the period's deposits, which is what most applications ask for.

Does Varo have a CSV export of transactions?

We could not find one documented in Varo's help center on 26 October 2026. If you need rows in a spreadsheet, convert the statement PDF or copy the activity from the app.
