Synovus Bank Statement: View, Download and Older Copies

6 min readOctober 26, 2026

Quick Answer: Sign in to My Synovus on the web or in the app, open the account, and go to View Statements. Synovus says you can see up to 24 months of checking, money market and savings statements there, as a searchable web page or a PDF. Loan statements are not in My Synovus; call 1-888-SYNOVUS (796-6887) or visit a branch for those.

Synovus statements for checking, savings and money market accounts are in My Synovus, the bank's online and mobile banking, going back up to 24 months. Each one opens either as a searchable web page or as a PDF. Two gaps catch people out: loan statements are not available in My Synovus at all, and anything older than two years has to come from the bank directly.

Which Synovus statements can you get online?

The My Synovus FAQ (read on 26 October 2026) is specific about coverage:

Statement typeIn My Synovus? How to get it
CheckingYes, up to 24 monthsView Statements on the account
SavingsYes, up to 24 monthsView Statements on the account
Money marketYes, up to 24 monthsView Statements on the account
LoansNoCustomer Care at 1-888-SYNOVUS (1-888-796-6887) or a branch
Older than 24 monthsNot statedAsk Customer Care or your branch

The loan gap is unusual. Many banks show installment and mortgage statements beside deposit accounts; Synovus says plainly that "at this time, we don't offer access to loan statements through My Synovus." If you need a loan history for a refinance or a tax deduction, start the phone call early.

How do you open a statement in My Synovus?

Synovus documents the path as part of its go-paperless guide:

  1. Log in to My Synovus in the app or on a desktop.
  2. Open the account whose statement you want.
  3. Go to View Statements.
  4. Pick the month. Choose the PDF version if you plan to save, email or convert it.

The FAQ adds that Settings: My Accounts is where you view and manage the statement options for all your accounts at once, which is quicker than opening each account if you hold several.

Web page or PDF: which should you choose?

Synovus presents each statement "as a searchable webpage or in PDF format, which can be opened with Adobe Reader software." They suit different jobs:

  • The web view is handy for finding a single transaction with your browser's find command. It is not a document you can hand to anyone.
  • The PDF is the bank's formal statement. Landlords, lenders, auditors and conversion tools all want this version. Save it with a clear name, such as synovus-checking-2026-09.pdf.

Going paperless with Synovus

The paperless switch lives one step past View Statements. Synovus's steps:

  1. Log in to My Synovus.
  2. Open the account you want to go paperless.
  3. Go to View Statements.
  4. Select Manage Document Delivery.
  5. In the Delivery Method box, choose Electronic.
  6. Save your changes.

After the switch, you get an email when each statement is ready. Synovus warns that, depending on your enrollment date, one more paper statement may still arrive by mail. That is normal, not a sign the change failed.

Synovus does not publish a fee for paper statements on these pages. If your account terms charge for paper, they will be in your account disclosures, not here.

How do you get Synovus statements older than two years?

The 24-month figure describes what My Synovus shows. It does not say that older statements are unavailable from the bank. For anything older:

  • Call Customer Care at 1-888-SYNOVUS (1-888-796-6887) and say which account and which months you need.
  • Or visit a branch, which is also the route the FAQ gives for loan information.
  • Ask whether there is a research or copy fee and how the copies will be delivered. Synovus's online FAQ does not quote a price.

The general approach, including what to say when you request archive statements and how to handle closed accounts, is in our guide on getting old bank statements.

The simplest habit is to download each statement as a PDF when the email arrives. Then the 24-month window never becomes a problem.

Sending a Synovus statement to a lender or landlord

Requests for "your last two statements" are where the web view and the PDF really part ways. A few habits avoid a second request:

  • Send the PDF, every page. Blank last pages and disclosure pages still count as part of the document, and an underwriter checking page numbers will notice one missing.
  • Send consecutive months. If the 24-month window has just dropped the month someone asked for, say so and order the copy from Customer Care rather than substituting a different month.
  • Do not edit or re-save it through another tool. Redacting with a drawing tool or printing to a new PDF can make the file look altered. If you must hide an account number, ask the recipient what they accept first.
  • Keep the converted spreadsheet for yourself. It is for your analysis; the bank's PDF is the evidence.

Who actually runs Synovus now?

If you read the small print on synovus.com you will notice it now says "Banking products are provided by Pinnacle Bank, a Tennessee bank, dba Synovus Bank. Member FDIC." In other words, Synovus Bank is now a trade name of Pinnacle Bank, and Synovus Securities is described as a subsidiary of Pinnacle Financial Partners.

For statements, this matters in two small ways. Newer documents and disclosures may carry the Pinnacle name, so do not be surprised if a lender asks about it. And when you file statements by institution, a single "Synovus / Pinnacle" folder avoids splitting one account's history across two names. My Synovus remains the login described on Synovus's own pages.

Business clients: Synovus Gateway

Synovus runs a separate platform, Synovus Gateway, for commercial and business banking, with its own app. The My Synovus FAQ applies to personal online banking; business statement access, reporting and any export formats are set by your Gateway setup, so check its help or ask your treasury contact rather than relying on the personal steps above.

Turning Synovus statements into spreadsheet rows

The FAQ does not mention exporting transactions as CSV or a Quicken file. If your account shows such an option, use it for recent activity. For the PDFs themselves, choose by volume:

  • One or two statements, simple layout: copying rows into a spreadsheet by hand, or Excel's Get Data from PDF feature, may be enough.
  • A year or more, or a mortgage or tax deadline: a statement converter saves the cleanup. QuickBankConvert reads the Synovus PDF and produces one row per transaction (date, description, category, signed amount, and balance when the statement prints one), plus the account number, period and opening and closing balances above the preview. You need no Synovus login; you upload the file. Free accounts can download CSV or Excel for three statements a month, and paid plans add QuickBooks, Quicken and Xero files.

Remember that the upload is stored on our servers; you can request deletion through the contact page. Whichever method you use, check the last row's balance against the closing balance printed on the PDF before you rely on the totals.
