Regions Bank Statement: Download PDFs and Older Copies
Quick Answer: In Regions Online Banking, choose Online Statements from the Accounts menu, pick the month on the Online Statements & Documents page, and view or download the PDF. In the Regions app, open the account and tap View statements & documents, then filter by document type and year. Regions says up to seven years of statements are available this way.
A Regions bank statement is a monthly PDF that lives in two places: the Online Statements & Documents page on regions.com and the View statements & documents screen in the Regions app. Both reach back up to seven years and both let you save the file. Paper copies are optional, can carry a fee on some accounts, and are only needed when someone insists on a mailed original.

Where does Regions put your statements?
Regions groups statements with other account paperwork rather than on the account summary itself, which is why people miss them. Everything below comes from Regions' online statements page and its help article How do I access my online statements?, both read on 26 October 2026.
On regions.com (Online Banking)
- Sign in to Online Banking.
- Open the Accounts menu and select Online Statements.
- On the Online Statements & Documents page, find the month you want.
- View the statement, or download the PDF to save it.
There is a second route on the same site: the I want to ... dropdown includes View Statements, which lands on the same page.
In the Regions app
- Open the account you need.
- Tap View statements & documents (on the account details screen, scroll down if you do not see it).
- Use the filters for document type and year, then open the statement and download it as a PDF.
The year filter is the useful part when you are hunting for something from, say, 2021: it saves scrolling through dozens of monthly entries.
How much history can you pull?
Regions states that you can "instantly view, download and print up to seven years of account statements." That is generous next to many regional banks, and it covers the usual reasons people go looking:
| Reason you need old statements | Typical span | Covered by the seven-year archive? |
|---|---|---|
| Mortgage or rental application | Last 2โ3 months | Yes |
| Year-end bookkeeping catch-up | 12 months | Yes |
| Tax return support or an IRS question | Commonly 3 years, longer in some cases | Yes |
| Divorce, estate or legal discovery | Often 5+ years | Usually; check the oldest month first |
| Account closed long ago | Varies | Ask Regions; the online archive is tied to account access |
If the month you need is older than the archive, or the account was closed before you enrolled, the online page will not help. Call Regions or visit a branch and ask for copies; any research or copy fee is set in your account's disclosures, so ask before you order. Our guide on how to get old bank statements covers how to word that request.
What else sits in the same folder?
Enrolling in online statements at Regions moves more than the monthly statement off paper. Regions lists these as paperless documents:
- Online statements
- Overdraft notifications and overdraft protection transfer notifications
- Overdraft protection termination confirmations
- Stop payment and special paying confirmations
- Product change notices for Regions Now Savings and LifeGreen Savings
- Tax documents for checking, savings and money market accounts
That last item matters each January. If you have opted into paperless, your interest forms will appear in the same Online Statements & Documents list instead of arriving by mail, so look there before assuming a form is missing.
How do you turn paperless on, or switch back to paper?
To enroll on the website, go to I want to ... and then View Statements, and on the Online Statements & Documents page select manage my statement delivery and email preferences. In the app, open the account, choose View statements & documents, tap the gear icon and then Enroll now.
To go back to paper, Regions' help article Can I switch back to paper statements? says to use the same manage my statement delivery and email preferences link online, or the Unenroll option at the bottom of View statements & documents in the app. Two details from that page are worth knowing:
- Paper statements and account notices resume with the next statement cycle, not immediately.
- "Fees may apply to paper statements for certain accounts." Regions does not publish one flat figure on that page; the amount depends on your account type and appears in its disclosures.
So if a landlord wants a mailed original next week, unenrolling will not get it to you in time. Download the PDF and print it, or ask a branch for a printed copy.
Can you export Regions transactions to Excel or QuickBooks?
This is where Regions is thinner than its statement archive. The online statements page and the help articles we read describe PDFs only; they do not mention a CSV, Excel, QFX or QBO download of statement data.
For small business customers, Regions does document a QuickBooks connection. Its help article How do I enroll in QuickBooks by Intuit? walks through Products, then Business Services, then QuickBooks Download, where you choose a payment account, confirm, verify your email and then use your Online Banking credentials inside QuickBooks. Regions points customers with further QuickBooks questions to its support line. That route suits ongoing bookkeeping, but it is a connection set up going forward, not a way to turn a three-year-old PDF into rows.
When you need rows from statements already in the archive, you have a few options:
- Copy and paste from the PDF into Excel. Fine for a handful of lines, error-prone for a full month because columns tend to merge.
- Excel's Get Data from PDF feature (Microsoft 365 on Windows). It works on clean tables; multi-line descriptions often spill into the next row.
- A statement converter. QuickBankConvert reads the Regions PDF and returns one row per transaction with date, description, amount and running balance. A free account downloads CSV or Excel; QuickBooks (QBO) and Quicken (QFX) files are on paid plans listed on the pricing page.
There is no Regions login involved with the converter: you upload the PDF you saved, it is parsed on our servers, and a copy is kept until you ask us through the contact page to delete it. The PDF to Excel guide shows what the output looks like, and the earlier article on converting a Regions statement to CSV goes deeper into the column cleanup.
Reading the statement once you have it
A few practical notes for people opening a Regions PDF for the first time:
- Each account has its own statement. If you hold checking and savings, filter by account in the app rather than expecting one combined file.
- Codes in descriptions. Searchers regularly ask what a short code such as "V4ADJ" means on a Regions statement. We could not find that code defined in Regions' public help pages, so we will not guess. Short codes like this are usually internal labels for adjustments or card transactions; the fastest answer is to ask Regions directly, quoting the date and amount.
- Notices are separate PDFs. Overdraft and stop payment confirmations appear as their own documents in the list, not inside the monthly statement.
- Check the period dates. Read the statement period printed on the first page before you match it to a calendar-month budget or a QuickBooks reconciliation; the cycle you are given may not line up with the month's first and last days.
