Huntington Bank Statement: Find, Save and Go Paperless

6 min readOctober 26, 2026

Quick Answer: Sign in to Huntington online banking, open the Service Center, and choose View Statements to open and save a statement PDF; the same screen holds your tax documents. Huntington says you can check up to two years of statements online, so save copies of anything you will need later before they age out.

Huntington keeps your statements, tax forms and delivery settings in one place: the Service Center in online banking. From there you open a month's statement as a PDF and save it. The archive covers about two years, which is shorter than many people expect, so a statement you will need for a loan, an audit or a tax question is worth saving to your own files.

The two-year window, and why it changes your habits

On its paperless statements page (read on 26 October 2026), Huntington describes the online archive this way: "Check up to two years of your statements at any time, from almost anywhere, digitally."

Two years covers most everyday requests. It does not cover everything:

Who is askingWhat they usually wantInside two years?
Landlord or property managerLast 2โ€“3 monthsYes
Mortgage lenderLast 2 months, sometimes more for self-employed borrowersYes
Your accountant at tax timeThe full prior yearYes, if you act within a year or so
IRS examination of an older returnThe year under review, often 3 years backPossibly not
Divorce or estate attorneySeveral yearsOften not

The practical habit: once a year, after your December statement posts, download all twelve months and file them somewhere you control. If a request comes in for a period that has already rolled off, contact Huntington through customer service or a branch and ask what an older copy costs and how long it takes. Our guide to getting old bank statements has a template for that request.

How do you open a Huntington statement?

Huntington's public pages describe the Service Center as the home for statements. Its customer service FAQ, read on 26 October 2026, explains tax forms like this: log into your Huntington account, "navigate to Service Center, click View Statements, and click on the tax documents for your account." Monthly statements are listed on that same View Statements screen.

  1. Sign in at huntington.com or in the Huntington Mobile app.
  2. Open the Service Center.
  3. Choose View Statements.
  4. Find the account and the statement you want, then open the PDF.
  5. Save it (download on a computer, or use your phone's share or save option).

We could not find a public Huntington page that spells out every tap in the mobile app, so the steps above follow the online banking wording. If a label looks different on your phone, look for the Service Center or statements entry in the app's menu.

Paperless settings, step by step

Huntington's paperless page gives exact steps:

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Choose Service Center.
  3. Choose Paperless Settings in the Statements section.
  4. To switch every eligible account at once, check Paperless Preferred.
  5. To change one account, toggle Paperless Statements for that account to On (green). Changes save automatically.

Huntington emails you when a new statement is ready. Because paper reminders stop, the page also suggests turning on a payment reminder: go to Alerts, click Edit Alerts, and turn on Payment Due. That is relevant mainly if you hold a Huntington credit card or loan, where a missed paper bill could mean a missed payment.

The per-account toggle is handy for a split approach. Some people keep paper for a joint savings account their partner reconciles by hand, while moving everyday checking to paperless.

Paper statement fees. We did not find a paper statement fee stated on Huntington's public paperless page. If you are keeping paper, check your account's fee schedule or ask a banker rather than assuming it is free.

A yearly routine so nothing rolls off

Because the online archive stops at roughly two years, a ten-minute routine each January saves a phone call later:

  1. Wait until the December statement for every account has posted, along with your tax forms.
  2. Open each account's statements in View Statements and save all twelve months, plus the 1099-INT or 1098.
  3. Rename the files so they sort by date, for example huntington-checking-2026-03.pdf, rather than keeping whatever name the download gives them.
  4. Store them in two places, such as an encrypted drive and a cloud folder you trust.
  5. Open one or two of the saved files to make sure they are complete and not zero-byte downloads.

If you run a small business through Huntington, do the same for the business checking account and hand the folder to your bookkeeper. Twelve PDFs named by month are much quicker for them to work with than a screenshot of the account summary.

Is there a way to get Huntington transactions as a spreadsheet?

Huntington's public statement and paperless pages describe PDFs. They do not say whether online banking offers a CSV, Excel, QFX (Quicken) or QBO (QuickBooks) download of transaction history, and we could not confirm one from Huntington's own help content, so check your account's activity screen for a download or export option before converting anything.

Two Huntington tools look like exports but are not:

  • Spend Analysis, part of Huntington's digital banking tools, shows "up to two years of spending and income history" as charts and a table, with a Spend v. Income comparison over the past 12 months. It is for reviewing habits on screen, not a file you can hand to an accountant.
  • Mobile deposit history in the app shows deposits from the last 60 days with check images, according to Huntington's mobile banking FAQ. Useful for proving a deposit, not for bookkeeping.

When you need statement transactions as rows, the PDF is your source. Your choices:

  • Retype or paste a short statement into Excel or Google Sheets. Reasonable for a dozen lines.
  • Excel's Get Data from PDF feature, which works best when the table is simple and every transaction fits on one line.
  • QuickBankConvert, which takes the saved Huntington PDF and returns date, description, amount and balance rows you can preview before downloading. CSV and Excel come with a free account; Quicken and QuickBooks files need a paid plan (see pricing).

You upload only the statement file, never your Huntington username. The file goes to our servers to be parsed, and a copy stays stored until you ask for it to be deleted through the contact page. The Huntington-to-Excel walkthrough covers the cleanup steps after conversion.

What do people actually need a Huntington statement for?

The request often decides which file you should hand over:

  • Proof of funds or income: send the original PDF from View Statements. A converted spreadsheet is your working copy, not evidence.
  • Tax preparation: your preparer wants the 1099-INT (or 1098 for a mortgage) from the same View Statements screen, and possibly a year of transactions to support deductions. See how long to keep bank statements for taxes.
  • Business bookkeeping catch-up: a year of statements turned into rows lets you categorise and reconcile in one sitting, then import into QuickBooks.
  • A dispute over a charge: the statement shows the posting date and description you need to quote.
