Golden One Bank Statement: Golden 1 PDFs and Exports

6 min readOctober 26, 2026

Quick Answer: Sign in to Golden 1 Online Banking and click My Documents to see current and past statements; if nothing appears, you first have to enroll in paperless statements. The Golden 1 Mobile app shows statements but cannot download them, so save PDFs from a computer. For a spreadsheet, Online Banking also has a transaction download behind the cloud icon next to Filter & Sort.

People searching for a "Golden One bank statement" usually mean Golden 1 Credit Union, the California credit union. Its statements live under My Documents in Online Banking. Two quirks catch members out: the online statement only appears after you enroll in paperless delivery, and the mobile app lets you read a statement but not save it.

Why is My Documents empty until you go paperless?

Golden 1's help article on getting a copy of your statement, read on 26 October 2026, says: "If you are not currently enrolled in paperless statements, you must do this before you can view your online statement."

That surprises members who still want paper in the mail and simply need a PDF for a loan file. The enrollment steps, from Golden 1's paperless article:

  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. Click My documents.
  3. Click View documents next to the account.
  4. Read the Enrollment for Online Statements and Notices agreement and click I agree (choosing I disagree closes the statement portal).
  5. Review and confirm your Document Delivery Preference, then click Next.

Once enrolled you see links such as Current Statement and Statement History under the Accounts section.

If you want paper back afterwards, Golden 1 says you can re-enroll in paper at any time: in My documents, click My Settings in the top toolbar, then Edit My Settings, change the delivery choice, and click Submit. Golden 1's article doesn't mention a paper statement fee, and we did not find one in the pages we read.

How do you download a Golden 1 statement PDF?

Golden 1 lists four routes. They are not equal, because only one of them gives you a file.

RouteWhat you getSteps (Golden 1 help center, 26 October 2026)
Online BankingViewable, downloadable, printable statementsMy documents, then View Documents next to the statement
Mobile appView onlyMore menu on the bottom ribbon, then My Documents, then Current Statement or Statement History
BranchPrinted copiesAsk at any Golden 1 branch
PhoneHelp from staffMember Services Contact Center, 1-877-GOLDEN1 (1-877-465-3361)

The app limitation is stated directly: "Statements are only available to be viewed in the app and cannot be downloaded at this time." So if a landlord, lender or accountant wants the PDF, do this part on a computer. Golden 1's two help articles word the app path slightly differently (one says tap View Documents, the other More then My Documents), so the label may depend on your app version; look for the documents entry in either place.

Golden 1's help pages do not say how many months of statement history Online Banking keeps. Look at the oldest month in Statement History; if the one you need is not there, ask at a branch or call, and say exactly which months and accounts you need.

Golden 1 can export transactions, so you may not need the PDF

This is where Golden 1 differs from many banks: it has a documented spreadsheet export. From the help article Can I download my account information from Online Banking?:

  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. Select the account.
  3. Click the cloud icon next to Filter & Sort.
  4. In Select file type, pick the format you want.
  5. Under Select data type, tick Transactions and/or Daily Balances.
  6. Choose the date range and click Download.

Golden 1 says the download works with spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel and with personal finance software such as Quicken. The article does not list the file types by name, so check the menu when you open it.

When to use which:

  • Use the export for budgeting, categorising a year of spending, or filling a gap in Quicken. The Daily Balances option is handy for anyone tracking an average balance.
  • Use the statement PDF whenever someone needs proof: a mortgage underwriter, a court, a landlord or the IRS. An export is your own file; a statement is the credit union's document.
  • Use a converter when you have the statements but the export does not reach the dates you need, or when you want both the official PDF and matching rows.

What changed with Golden 1's 2026 banking update?

Golden 1's digital banking FAQ describes an updated Mobile and Online Banking experience. The parts that matter for statements and exports:

  • Personal or Business at login. You now choose Personal or Business before signing in, and business members log in from the same place.
  • Re-enrolling can fix login problems. If your password or verification codes stop working, Golden 1 suggests re-enrolling in Personal Digital Banking, which creates a new user ID and password.
  • Reconnect your apps. Budgeting and accounting software linked to Golden 1 may need reconnecting after an upgrade to account connectivity. Golden 1 says you can link Quicken or QuickBooks directly with your accounts, so try that connection before downloading files by hand.
  • Joint owners set up again. Bill Pay and transfer settings moved to the primary owner; joint holders recreate their own.

Where are dividends and tax figures?

Golden 1's 1099 article says dividends are reported to the IRS when an account earns more than $10 in a calendar year, and year-end tax documents are mailed to the address on the account by 31 January. To check the figure yourself, open your December statement and look for the YTD Tax Summary. If you expected a 1099-DIV and it did not arrive, Golden 1 says to sign in to Online Banking and use the Messages link at the upper right to request a duplicate.

Check images and running balances

Statements are not the only record. Golden 1 says the Account Details page in Online Banking lets you click a posted check and choose View images, and the app does the same when you tap the transaction. In the app, tapping an account's balance shows each transaction's posted date, description, amount and running balance. That history is handy when you are checking whether a payment has cleared before the statement closes.

Turning Golden 1 statements into rows

If the built-in export does not cover what you need, convert the saved statement PDFs. QuickBankConvert reads the file you downloaded from My Documents and returns one row per transaction (date, description, category, signed amount, and the running balance where printed), with the statement's opening and closing balances shown so you can tie out the totals. You never give it your Golden 1 credentials. The file is uploaded and parsed on our servers, where a copy is stored; you can ask for it to be deleted via the contact page. A free account downloads CSV and Excel, and the QuickBooks and Quicken formats are on paid plans listed on the pricing page.

If your statement combines several share or loan accounts in one PDF, as many credit union statements do, check each section's ending balance after converting. Our guide to converting a credit union statement to Excel covers splitting those sections.
