Dave Bank Statement: Find PDFs in the Dave App

6 min readOctober 26, 2026

Quick Answer: In the Dave app, go to Settings, choose the account you want, and tap Statements. Dave keeps PDF statements for the past 12 months there and emails you each month when a new one is ready. Dave's help center does not describe a CSV export, so for spreadsheet rows you convert the PDF.

Dave is an app-first account, and its statements are too: there is no statement page on a website to log in to, and the help center points only to the app. You get a monthly PDF per account, a rolling twelve-month window, and tax forms in a separate menu. Save each PDF as it arrives if you may need older history later.

Where does the Dave app keep statements?

Dave's help article Where can I get my bank statements? (read on 26 October 2026) is short, and it covers everything Dave documents about statements:

  1. Open the Dave app and go to Settings.
  2. Choose the account you want statements for.
  3. Tap Statements.
  4. Your monthly PDF statements for that account are listed there to view and save.

Dave sends an email every month telling you the statements are ready. That email is a good reminder to save the PDF somewhere permanent (a cloud drive folder, or email it to yourself), for the reason in the next section.

The account names in Settings may not match old paperwork. Dave's article About Dave Checking notes that Dave Checking was formerly called Dave Spending, so a statement from a few years ago can carry the older name. Dave also runs ExtraCash and Goals accounts alongside Checking, which is why the app asks you to pick an account before it shows statements.

Why does the 12-month window matter?

Twelve months is shorter than many banks keep online, and it bites in predictable situations:

  • Tax season. If you file in April, the January statement from the year before is already close to dropping off.
  • Rental and loan applications. Some ask for two years of history, or for statements from a specific month in the past.
  • Disputes and refunds. Proving when a charge first appeared can need a statement older than a year.
  • Self-employment records. A year of deposits for a Schedule C often spans more than one rolling window by the time you sit down to do it.

The help center does not say how to get a statement older than twelve months. Dave's support articles point members to chat with the Member Success team from Settings > Chat, and that is the place to ask. Don't count on it, though: save every statement while it is in the app. For general advice on tracking down older records, see how to get old bank statements.

What changes with the move to Coastal Community Bank?

Dave is not itself the bank. Its help article on the Coastal Community Bank migration says Dave is moving its banking services from Evolve Bank & Trust to Coastal Community Bank, and asks members to consent to new ExtraCash, Dave Checking and Goals accounts at Coastal. Once those are open, Dave closes the old Evolve accounts automatically.

For statements, the useful points from that article are:

WhatBefore the moveAfter the move
Partner bank on the accountEvolve Bank & TrustCoastal Community Bank
Account and routing numbersOld numbersNew numbers assigned
Debit cardOld cardYou request a new card
Account history and balanceIn the appDave says these stay available

Two practical consequences. First, statements on each side of the move carry different account numbers, so if a landlord or lender compares a statement with a direct-deposit form, make sure both come from the same period. Second, because the old accounts are being closed, it is sensible to download every statement still inside the twelve-month window before your migration date, rather than relying on the history carrying over.

Sending Dave statements to a landlord or lender

Requests for "the last three months of statements" go more smoothly when you check a few things first:

  • Pick the right account. Direct deposit is set up into Dave Checking, so that is usually the account asked for. Goals and ExtraCash have their own statements; include them only if the requester wants every account.
  • Keep the months consecutive. A missing month is the first thing an underwriter notices. With a twelve-month window, request-heavy months such as a lease renewal can push you close to the edge.
  • Mind the migration. If the months you send straddle the move to Coastal, the account number changes partway through. Mention it up front rather than leave the reviewer to wonder.
  • Rename the files. Something like dave-checking-2026-09.pdf keeps a folder of downloads in order.

Tax forms are in a different menu

Statements and tax documents are separate in the app. According to Dave's article on filing taxes for interest, a 1099-INT is issued if you earn $10 or more of interest in a calendar year, and it appears in the app in January. To find it:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Tap Dave Checking.
  • Under Account, tap Tax documents.

If your account closed before year end and you qualified for a 1099-INT, Dave says it mails the form to the last address on file.

Closing a Dave account? Download first

Dave's article on canceling your membership and closing your bank accounts separates two things people often mix up. Canceling the paid Dave Membership (under Settings > Membership) stops the monthly fee but leaves your bank accounts open. Closing the bank accounts is a separate step: Settings > Edit profile > Close my Dave Account, after any balances are settled.

The article lists what happens on closure. You lose access to your Dave bank accounts, linked external banks and debit cards are disconnected, and a final bank statement is provided at the start of the following month. It also tells you to download tax documents before closing. Because access ends, the safest order is:

  1. Move your balance out to your external bank.
  2. Save every monthly statement in the app, plus the tax documents.
  3. Close the accounts.
  4. Watch for the final statement, which Dave says comes at the start of the next month.

Deleting the app does not close anything, Dave points out, and it does not end the membership fee either.

Turning a Dave statement into a spreadsheet

Dave's help center describes statements as PDFs and mentions no CSV or transaction export, so a converter is the practical way to get rows. Common reasons Dave members want them: totaling gig income by platform, building a budget, or answering an application that asks for monthly deposits.

With QuickBankConvert you upload the statement PDF you saved from the app; nothing connects to your Dave login. Each transaction becomes a row with date, description, category and a signed amount (money out is negative), and the statement period and balances appear above the preview so you can check them against the PDF. A free account downloads CSV or Excel; the limits are on the pricing page. The file is uploaded over HTTPS, parsed on our servers, and a copy is stored, which you can ask us to delete through the contact page.

Send the converted spreadsheet only to people who want analysis. A landlord or benefits office that asks for a "bank statement" wants Dave's PDF itself. For more on the output, see PDF bank statement to Excel. The CFPB's bank accounts and services pages explain your rights around fees and errors if a statement shows something you dispute.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far back can I get Dave statements?

Dave's help center says the app shows PDF statements for the past 12 months, under Settings, then the account, then Statements. Save each one before it ages out.

Can I download Dave transactions as a CSV?

Dave's help articles do not describe a CSV or transaction export. Save the monthly PDF and convert it if you need spreadsheet rows.

Will my Dave statements change after the move to Coastal Community Bank?

Your new accounts get new account and routing numbers, so statements before and after the move show different numbers. Dave says account history and balances stay available through the transition.

Where is my Dave 1099-INT?

In the app, go to Settings, tap Dave Checking, then Tax documents under Account. It appears in January if you earned $10 or more in interest.

Do I get a statement after closing my Dave account?

Yes. Dave says a final statement is provided at the start of the following month, but you lose access to the accounts on closure, so save earlier statements first.
